Room Parents

Two parents per class serve as room parents. If you are interested in volunteering, contact the Room Parent chair. Parents selected as room parents will be contacted​ in August and will be asked to attend a short information meeting.

Responsibilities

​

Open House (held week prior to school start)

• Arrive 15 minutes early

• Help with field trip and class activity sign-up sheets

• Remind parents to sign-up for volunteer opportunities and school directory information online

Other

• Distribute Class Friendship Lists (list will be provided to you in excel format)

• Reminder emails or phone calls for class and some school activities

• Requests to parents for class materials (as needed)

• Answer questions from parents

• Coordinate teacher and staff recognition/appreciation gift (April)

• An optional contribution of up to $3 per teacher/para per student may be collected for this day only.
